PodCasting is getting to be cutting edge technology and more and more people are starting to use this technology to get their messages to thousands and soon to be millions of users. Podcasting can be used as a learning tool that does not require the user to be connected to a computer or hardwired to another device. The user of the device can download an audio file at their computer and then listen to the news, commentary, lecture or any other type of verbal communication at their leisure. This would be a great learning tool in the college environment since a professor could record his or her lecture and then post it for students to download and use at a later time; perhaps to even study for a test.

There are 3rd and 4th grade students that are currently running their own Podcasts about topics that will interest other children their age. They discuss field trips that the group recently attended and it increases their knowledge about new cutting edge technology. The article on these students is posted below.
