Track List

Social Computing

So far I can think of five uses for computers in education:
  • Learning Objects: Big or small items, created by instructors or instructional technologists, that teach by knowledge transfer or interaction, including assessment.
  • Learning Tool: Learning is done by the student using technology creatively, including programming.
  • Organizer: Technology is used to organize information, including spreadsheets and databases.
  • Presentation Tool: Technology is used in the presentation of information, including presentations, animations and web sites.
  • Social Computing: Technology provides the mechanism and structure for communication, including e-mail, discussion boards, blogs and wikis.

Is that it? Is there another category I'm missing?

Documentation I've written that I'd prefer not to misplace
