Before using the Smartboard, you should always Orient the screen. This will allow the Smartboard to accurately register your input.

smartboardmenu.gif 1. Select Start > All Programs > SMART Board Software > Orient or click on the Smartboard icon Smartboard system tray iconin the system tray and select Orient (see image on right). The latter is preferable if you are standing at the board and not sitting at the computer.

2. The orient screen will overlay the desktop and present a target with a yellow dot orienttarget.jpg in the top left corner of the Smartboard display. Using one of the Smartboard markers, carefully touch the point of the marker to the yellow dot. Be careful not to touch the screen with your hand.

3. The target will shift down and then across the screen. Complete each step carefully. When you finish the last one, located on the bottom right, the orient display will end and normal display will return.

You may orient the screen whenever you do not feel the screen is responding properly.
