The overhead projector is primarily controlled through the remote control interface. See image below (grainy, but I haven't had a chance to take a replacement). The projector recieves a directional signal and requires you to be between the projector and the whiteboard to be certain the sensor has line-of-sight from the remote.

There are several features built into the overhead projector. The following is a sampling and is not comprehensive:

Power controls
Turn on: Select the STANDBY/ON button on the top left of the remote. The projector bulb should start glowing faintly. Also, if you look at the bottom of the projector, the power button will be blinking green while warming up and NOT orange.

Turn off: Select the STANDBY/ON button on the top left of the remote. The screen will have an overlay telling you to click the button a second time to turn it off. Select STANDBY/ON a second time and the projector will begin the power-down sequence.

Visual controls
Project the computer display: The computer input is on RGB 1. To select, make certain the computer is on and you are logged in. Select the RGB button on the top right of the remote. The projector will overlay the text "DETECTING... RGB 1" and will bring up the proper display after a few seconds. If the overlay says "DETECTING... RGB 2", press the button until the RGB 1 dialogue appears.

Project a video DVD: Please read show a video/play a cd

Project from the digital presenter: The digital presenter's input is RGB 2. To select, turn on the digital presenter (please visit DigitalPresenterProject for more information). Select the RGB button on the top right of the projector remote until you see the text "DETECTING... RGB 2" appear in the display. If the overlay says "DETECTING... RGB 1", press the button until the RGB 2 dialogue appears.

Blank the screen: Select the BLANK button on the bottom right of the remote. If you wish to blank the screen (this may be to hide the display if you are pulling up sensitive information or to minimize distraction), it is better to simply blank the screen than to turn the projector on and off.

Freeze the screen: You may freeze the screen at a specific point to keep a constant display. Click the FREEZE button in the lower half of the remote.

Magnify the screen: The magnify buttons on the lower left of the remote allow you to zoom in and out of the current view. Use the + sign to zoom in and the - sign to zoom out. The OFF button exits any maginification and goes back to a normal view.

Audio controls
The sound for both computer and DVD/VHS plays through the projector's built-in speaker. The VOLUME and MUTE buttons are both located on the lower right of the remote control unit.
