The digital presenter is located on the instructor's computer desk to the right of the monitor. There are controls on the console, but many of the features are only available through the digital presenter's remote control.
The remote control may be on the desk, but could be stored in the presenter console. On the right side of the document camera, you will see the text “Remote” in white letters (only available on the Dukane models, other models do not include a remote). The remote is located in a small pocket built into the body of the device behind the folded light arm.

To display an object:
1. In the center of the document tray, you will see a telescoping arm. The object at the top of the arm is the digital camera bay. In order to best use this, you will need to raise the arm to an upright position so that the camera lens is looking down towards the center of the document or object you wish to present. This may require that you rotate the camera housing until the lens is facing down.
2. Place an object on the display screen in the center of the presenter console.
3. Turn on the presenter by selecting the power button on the lower right corner of the presenter's console or the Power button on the top right corner of the remote.
4. (Optional) The top lights should be folded along the sides of the document tray. To enable them, push the plastic tabs on either side forward and swing the closer hinge upwards. Once free, continue to swing the arms up and also swing the lights forward and up. You will probably need to rotate the lights towards your object. For best effect, place the document on the tray and move the lights until you get good illumination with no direct glare from the object’s surface.
5. Select the proper lamp settings* using the Lamp button on the bottom half of the remote or on the console (the silver button with a light bulb icon beneath). Make certain that the full object, or area of the object you with to display, appears in the normal view of the camera. Use the Lamp button to select the proper lighting format for your display item: transparency = backlight, text or image = top light, three dimensional objects may work best with no lights so that no glare is produced from the object’s surface(s).
6. Make certain the overhead projector input is set to RGB 2. See
OverheadProjector for more information.
7. Use the Zoom In/Zoom Out buttons on the remote to set the image display.
8. If the image is blurry, use the Focus+/Focus- or the auto-focus (AF) buttons on the remote to get proper image clarity.
9. If the images colors are incorrect (sometimes white may appear as red, blue or green in certain light), select the AWB button on the remote to reset the white balance.
