    The course explores the interactions of religious belief and practice with the visual and performing arts. In keeping with the requirements of the ‘Visual and Performing Arts Field of Study’, this course will investigate the forms, traditions, and historical contexts of a variety of arts, including sculpture, painting, architecture, and various crafts. Our goal will be to learn equally about religion, art and their inter-relationship throughout history in selected cultures. This term the societies that we study will include the Dogon of Africa, the Yoruba (Africa and the Diaspora), Judaism and Christianity.
